Fanaka is a summer project sponsored by The Davis Projects for Peace and led by seven students of the class of 2020, at elite colleges and research universities in the US. The schools represented are Columbia University in the City of New York, Williams College, University of Pennsylvania, Vanderbilt University, Northwestern University and Princeton University. The project is inspired by the inadequacy of resources for high school students to apply to colleges outside Kenya, as well as an immense desire to give back to the community.
